一个全美性的活动“打击犯罪维护治安夜 ”（National Night Out crime-fighting initiative）即将在今晚各地举行。圣迭戈警局通过媒体通知邀请广大市民：“请全县居民当晚关掉电视，出来到活动地点一起参加这个全美范围的打击犯罪活动夜活动，享受这个有意义的仲夏之夜。”

圣迭戈已安排妥几十个地方开展此项活动，动员辖区内各社区左邻右舍都能出来互相认识得到沟通，区域警员届时和大家见面开展就有关打击犯罪，确保社会治安等方面问题的咨询和宣传，警员指导如何防身预警等知识。有不少社区早已准备好了摊位，在今晚的活动上将提供食品和饮料，枪锁赠品，孩子打指纹，车站和旅游车辆显示器等。

圣迭戈市警察总局齐默尔曼局长（Shelley Zimmerman）和总局分局的警官警员今晚将与社区民众见面。“估计今晚参与者将超过37万，涉及15,000个社区。”组织方估计。

除此之外，圣迭戈几所大学的警局近日也频频发出校园安全告示，需各方配合搞好校园内外的治安，保护师生的人身安全。

From 3 to 6 p.m. at the sheriff’s Poway Station; from 3 to 6 p.m. at Connors Park in San Marcos;
From 3 to 7 p.m. at the Target parking lot on Jamacha Road in Rancho San Diego;
from 4 to 7 p.m. at the sheriff’s Alpine Station;
From 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Robert Egger Park in Imperial Beach; from 5 to 7 p.m. at San Elijo Hills Park;
From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the corner of Main Street and South Indiana Avenue in Vista; From 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Santee Trolley Square on Mission Gorge Road；
From 4:30 p.m. at Teralta and Colina parks;
From 5 p.m. at the South Bay Recreation Center and at the Kroc Center;
From 5:30 p.m. at Skyview Park;
From 6 p.m. at the police department’s Northern Division；
From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m Escondido residents were invited to celebrate the 31st annual Night Out at an open house at the Escondido Police Department；
From 6 p.m. at the Target parking lot at the Grossmont Center；
From 5 p.m., at 100 Civic Center Way；
From 5 p.m., at the municipal pool on East 22nd Street。
