Back for it’s seventh year, the 2015 La Jolla Art & Wine Festival is one of Southern California’s premiere art events, transforming the region’s iconic coastal bluffs into a destination for artists, breweries, and wineries to showcase their craft and celebrate art along the Pacific coast.
Taking place October 10th through the 11th, the two-day juried art show features over 150 renowned artists from all over the region, a silent auction, family art center, as well as a gourmet marketplace, and a wine and beer garden which will provide refreshing sips from premiere wineries and San Diego’s top breweries.
The nationally recognized, juried art show and fundraiser is FREE and open to the public, welcoming families and friends to come stroll the streets of the quaint seaside village of La Jolla and enjoy the celebration of community and craft. The GI Film Group is bringing the GI Film Festival to San Diego for the first time in collaboration with KPBS and the Film Consortium San Diego. This multi-day festival begins Tuesday, Oct. 13 and runs through Sunday, Oct. 18 with events around San Diego County. The GI Film Festival is the nation’s first and only military film festival to honor and preserve the stories of America’s armed forces.
GI Film Festival San Diego will feature all major film genres, including dramas, documentaries, shorts, and personal narratives, and will conclude with a local film showcase curated by the Film Consortium San Diego followed by an awards ceremony on Sunday, Oct. 18. The local film showcase on Sunday, Oct. 18 exclusively features San Diego and Imperial Valley area filmmakers, locations, and actors.
